Having completed his seminary formation, Fr. Punithan was ordained to the priesthood on 28th Oct. 2006 and then in the year 2006, Nov. 15, he took up his assignment as Assistant at St. Anthony’s Church, Dharavi, catering largely to the numerous Tamil speaking Catholics of the parish. He served till May 2010. Now,(June 2010) he is appointed as SSS Postulant Director and Vocation Promotor at The Cenacle, Velappan Chavady, Chennai -77. He continues to pursue his hobby and special apostolate through the Mass media. He makes short documentary films for institutes, schools, colleges, congregations etc.
