Beginning his pastoral ministry at St. Anthony’s Church Kamarajapuram, Chennai, Fr. Johnson was later moved higher to be in charge of the parish of St. Anthony at Thundathuvilai. Towards the end of his term there, he initiated the construction of a bigger Church so that the parishioners could worship in more comfort. He then returned to St. Anthony’s Kamarajapuram as the Asst. Parish Priest, became the Parish Priest there and currecntly he is the superior at Sneha Nilayam.
