After discerning for a fairly long period which his true vocation is, Fr. Bismarque committed himself to the Blessed Sacrament Congregation and having completed a year of pastoral work at St. Francis Xavier’s Chapel, Colaba, he took up his assignment in Goa. Appointed first to Mae de Deus Chapel, Gaunsavaddo, Siolim, he soon made a name for himself by his energetic, inspiring preaching and creative sessions, especially with the youth of the area. When the Blessed Sacrament Community left Siolim to take up residence at their own place at Alto Santa Cruz, Fr. Bismarque spearheaded the effort to build and establish the new house. At the same time he gives himself selflessly to the needs of the Archdiocese of Goa and is currently busy fulltime in pastoral work in various fields.
